What happens if we sleep straight during pregnancy?
Im 6 months and everyone keeps telling me dont sleep on your back, sleep on side. But honestly sleeping straight is so much comfy for me. What actually happens if i sleep straight? is it really that bad?
Don't panic if you wake up on your back by mistake, it is absolutely normal and won't hurt the baby instantly. I used to cry thinking I did something wrong, but doctor reassured me that just turning back to the side is fine.
Sleeping flat on your back after the second trimester can compress the main blood vessel, reducing blood flow to the baby. Just train yourself to sleep on your left side and use a C-shaped maternity pillow.
Personally, after the 5th month, sleeping straight made me feel very suffocated and dizzy. My doctor had advised sleeping on the left side, which felt much more comfortable and natural for me.
Back pe sone se daktar mana karte hain kyunki baby pe pressure padta hai. Iska sasta upay hai ki ek normal takiya dono ghutno ke beech mein rakh lo, left side sona bahut aasan ho jayega.
It can be quite uncomfortable to sleep on your side all night. Just try to support your belly with a small cushion and rest as much as you can. You are doing great, dear.
My mother used to put a soft pillow behind my back so I wouldn't roll over to sleep straight. Sleeping on the left side is considered very good for the baby's nourishment, so we always followed that at home.
