What happens if you don t drink milk during pregnancy?
Honestly i cant stand the smell of milk since this pregnancy started, feel like vomiting. Im in 2nd trimester. Will it harm baby if i skip milk completely? what else can i take instead?
I felt so guilty in my first trimester because the smell of boiling milk made me super nauseous. But my doctor reassured me that it's totally fine. I substituted it with a bowl of fresh curd daily and it worked wonders for me.
Haha, my mother-in-law used to run behind me with a glass of milk daily and I used to throw up! My baby is perfectly healthy and keeps me awake all night now. Just take your doctor-prescribed calcium supplements and relax.
If you hate milk, don't worry because you can easily track your calcium intake on apps. You can replace milk with curd, paneer, or even ragi. Just make sure to tell your gynac so they can prescribe a good calcium supplement.
I am currently trying to conceive and even I am a bit worried because I don't like milk either. But my elder sister told me that we can get calcium from other dairy items like yogurt or even green leafy veggies. Hope this helps you too.
I absolutely hated the smell of milk during my whole pregnancy and didn't drink it at all. I had a perfectly healthy normal delivery! I just had lots of buttermilk, cheese, and took my calcium tablets daily without fail.
