Yesterday a dog suddenly came at me and i got really startled, heart was racing for a while. Now my MIL is scaring me more saying it affects the baby. Does a sudden fright actually do anything?
Elders at home say so many things about getting scared, but my doctor calmly told me not to take it to heart. Baby is safe in there. Just keep urself peaceful and rested, thats whats important.
I used to panic about this all the time, like even a loud sound scared me and then i'd worry for hours. But honestly one fright doesnt do anything to the baby. Constant stress is the thing to manage, so try to relax yaar.
My gynac told me a sudden scare just gives a rush of adrenaline, baby is well protected and a one time thing is fine. What she said to watch is ongoing high stress over weeks. So a momentary fright, no worries.
A fright itself is usually harmless. But if after a big shock or a fall u notice cramps, bleeding or reduced baby movement, then please dont wait and call ur doctor. Otherwise just relax.
A normal scare or fright wont harm the baby, dont believe all the old fears. Baby is safe inside. Just take a few deep breaths and calm down, you are okay.
