Just hit 8 weeks and my first scan is next week. So curious what the baby is like at this stage and what changes are happening in my body. The nausea is real though haha.
Doctor told me at 8 weeks baby is about the size of a kidney bean and the heartbeat is usually visible on scan. For mom the symptoms peak around here, nausea, smell sensitivity, all that hormone stuff.
Oof 8 weeks was my worst for morning sickness. Constant queasy feeling all day. I survived on dry toast and lemon water. It does ease up after first trimester, hang in there.
At 8 weeks I felt so much nausea and tiredness, and my breasts were really sore. The first scan around then showed the heartbeat and I cried honestly. Such a tiny flicker but so real.
Around 8 weeks most of the action is inside, tiny organs forming, heartbeat there. For you its mostly symptoms. Eat small meals, keep folic acid going, and get ur first scan done.
8 weeks is early and delicate, take good rest. My mother said dont strain in the first three months. The scan around this time is exciting, you may hear the heartbeat. Trust ur doctors guidance.
