I just entered 8th month and suddenly everything feels more real. Baby movements are strong, sleep is difficult and I am getting nervous about delivery also. What should I expect this month?
Currently in 8th month and let me tell u, sleeping is a full project now. Pillows everywhere, peeing every hour, and the baby kicks like its playing football at 2am. But honestly its the home stretch so im trying to enjoy it.
I worked till 8th month and honestly it got tiring. Tell your office, keep your maternity leave dates planned, and pack the hospital bag now so its one less thing later. Realistically you slow down a lot this month.
My doc said in the 8th month baby's lungs are almost ready and they put on fat for warmth. She started my visits to every 2 weeks and asked me to count kicks daily. Also she explained to watch for any swelling in face or hands and report it.
This is the time to be regular with checkups. My BP went up in the 8th month and i didnt notice till the visit. If you get bad headache, sudden swelling or blurry vision pls call your gynac, dont wait.
Dont worry, 8th month is mostly the baby growing and you resting. Just eat well, walk a little if doctor allows and keep your reports handy. You're almost there.
Baby is gaining weight fast now and moving down. You'll feel heavy, lots of back pain and trips to bathroom. Start keeping your hospital bag ready around this time, dont leave it for the last week.
In our family they do a small seemandham function around this time and amma told me to rest more. But the main thing is the baby is preparing to come, so keep your bag and papers ready and listen to your doctor.
