Im 38 weeks now and so close, both excited and nervous yaar. Just trying to mentally prepare for whats coming in these final days. Can someone share what to expect?
Last week your body is just preparing. Some practice contractions, more pressure, maybe nesting energy. Just one thing keep in mind, if you feel reduced baby movements, water leaking or heavy bleeding, dont wait at home, call your doctor straight away.
Currently living it lol. I pee every 20 mins, cant find a comfy sleep position, and my feet look like balloons. Everyone keeps asking is baby out yet as if I can press a button. Hang in there, almost done na.
Last week was such a mix for me. Baby dropped lower so breathing felt easier but pressure down there was a lot. I had random tightening of belly, more discharge, broken sleep. Doc just said watch for proper contractions and water breaking. Then one night it all started!
Im not there yet but reading all this so I know what to expect. Did most of you actually feel when labour started or did it sneak up? Bit nervous about the last week honestly.
My gynac walked me through it. Baby engages lower, cervix slowly softens, Braxton Hicks become stronger, and you might lose the mucus plug. She told me real labour is when contractions get regular and closer, or if waters break. Final scans and checkups also usually happen this week.
Body gets ready basically. You may get more cramps, backache, loose motions sometimes, baby moves down, mucus plug can come out. Keep your hospital bag ready and know the signs of labour. Both times mine started with regular tightening pains.
