Im 6 months along and i keep bending to pick up things or do ghar ka kaam without thinking. My mom keeps scolding me na for it. Now im worried, does bending actually harm the baby? anyone knows?
Bending doesn't harm the fetus at all, but it shifts your center of gravity and can make you lose balance. Always bend at the knees and keep your back straight to pick things up. It also helps prevent that annoying pregnancy heartburn!
I totally understand how we worry about every little movement hurting our precious baby! Your little one is floating safely in their warm water bag and won't feel a thing. Just take care of your own back and be gentle with yourself.
Oh look, don't stress too much about bending! The baby is totally safe and snug inside. Just don't do sudden jerky movements or bend too much in the third trimester because you might get dizzy or hurt your back.
I have heard older people say we shouldn't bend too much. Is it because it might put pressure on the baby? I'm trying to learn all this before I conceive.
It doesn't hurt the baby because they are safe inside, but bending wrongly can strain your back. Save your money on physiotherapist bills later by practicing correct posture now. If you need to pick something up, squat down with your knees instead of bending from the waist.
Haan na, bending se baby ko kuch nahi hota but humari back block ho jati hai! In late pregnancy, you can lose balance very easily. Try to sit down or bend using your knees, it's much safer.
According to my pregnancy apps, the baby is extremely well-cushioned in the amniotic fluid, so bending won't squish them at all. However, it can cause bad acid reflux and back strain as your bump grows. Keep your back straight and bend at the knees!
