What happens when we sleep straight during pregnancy?
Im 6 months now and i naturally sleep on my back, but my MIL keeps telling me not to lie straight. I dont understand why and it confuses me. Is there really something to worry about? pls share what u know.
My gynac said in later pregnancy sleeping flat on the back can press on a big blood vessel and make you feel dizzy or breathless. She advised sleeping on the side, preferably left, with a pillow between knees. Early on it doesnt matter much though.
I felt so uncomfortable lying flat in the last trimester, like I couldnt breathe properly. Switching to my side with a pillow made such a difference. My body kind of told me itself honestly.
Haan na in the last months side sleeping is better, left side they say. A pillow between the legs helps so much ho na. In early days it is not a big deal.
