My scan showed baby weight on higher side and doctor said we will watch it. I am worried about delivery and whether it means anything serious. Did anyone have bigger baby measurements in scans?
My gynac said higher baby weight can be due to sugar levels, genetics or sometimes just the estimate being high. She kept a closer eye with extra scans and planned accordingly. Best to let your doctor track it properly.
When my scan showed baby on the heavier side, doc checked my sugar first. Turned out mild GD. Once I managed diet the growth balanced. So if baby weight is high, getting your sugar tested is a good step.
A slightly bigger baby is often fine, both mine were on the heavier side and delivered normally. Doctor will just monitor and decide delivery plan. Dont panic over one scan number.
