I love papaya yaar and i ate a little ripe one yesterday before realising everyone says to avoid it. Now im a bit tense if i did something wrong. Is it actually a problem or only the raw one?
Haan, kachha papaya toh bilkul mat khana, usse stomach cramps ya miscarriage ka darr hota hai na. Vaise ripe peela papaya thoda chal jata hai par risk kyu lena, pregnancy me ise dur hi rakho.
Please avoid raw or semi-ripe papaya completely. It contains latex which can cause uterine contractions. Having had a miscarriage before, I was extremely careful and avoided papaya altogether to be safe.
I just delivered last month! My doctor told me that fully ripe papaya is actually fine, but raw green papaya is a big no-no. To be honest, I just avoided both for 9 months to keep my mind peaceful.
Actually yaar, even my mom got super hyper when I asked about papaya. Raw papaya is dangerous for sure, but ripe one is fine. Still, safe side rehne ke liye avoid hi kar lo for some time.
Raw papaya is strictly avoided because of papain and latex. Fully ripe papaya is technically okay in small amounts, but most Indian families and doctors suggest staying safe and avoiding it entirely.
When I was pregnant, I avoided papaya completely because of the risk of contractions from latex in unripe papaya. Now that I am breastfeeding, I can eat it safely. Better to skip it for a few months.
