What is 1 trimester of pregnancy?

I keep seeing first trimester second trimester everywhere but honestly dont fully get it. i just found out im pregnant. which weeks count as the first one exactly?

First trimester is the first three months, roughly week 1 to 12. Its when the baby's main organs form, so folic acid and rest are important. For many its the toughest with nausea and tiredness.

Ah the first trimester, thats when my morning sickness was at its worst. It covers the first 12 weeks or so. Hang in there, it usually eases once the second trimester starts.
