Some of my friends got these clear face photos of their babies before birth and they said its 4d. I have no idea what it is or if its different from normal scan. Can someone explain? thinking of asking my doc about it.
Oh I did a 4D scan and I felt so emotional seeing my baby's little face move on screen. It shows moving 3D images, almost like a video. Best memory of my whole pregnancy honestly.
Just a heads up, 4D is usually optional and costs extra over the routine scans. We did one for the keepsake photos but it is not compulsory. Budget for it only if you really want the images.
My doctor explained 4D is basically a 3D scan in motion, so you see real time movements like yawning or hand movements. It is more for bonding than medical necessity in most cases. She said the medical scans are still the important ones.
