My TSH report came and I dont understand what range is okay when planning pregnancy. I have an appointment next week but I am nervous reading numbers online. What levels did your doctor aim for?
Thyroid in pregnancy can affect baby if not controlled, so please take it seriously. My TSH was high and doctor changed my dose few times. Get tested as advised and follow your endocrinologist, dont self adjust.
I wont give a fixed number because mine kept changing through the months. Roughly first trimester they like it quite low. Honestly just trust your reports and doctor, thyroid is very individual yaar.
I had thyroid in pregnancy, my doctor wanted TSH on the lower side, mostly under 2.5 in first trimester. But ranges differ so dont compare with others, your gynac sets the target for you. Regular testing is the main thing, dont skip.
Get the TSH done, carry report to your gynac, take medicine on empty stomach early morning. I set a phone alarm so i never miss the tablet. The exact good level your doctor will tell, dont stress over the number alone.
Pregnancy thyroid targets are stricter than normal, each trimester has its own range. Best is to get TSH checked and let your doctor read it, they adjust the medicine accordingly. Please dont go by google numbers only.
