Planning to start trying in a few months and my gynac said to get my weight in a good range first. Im a little on the higher side honestly. Just wondering what others aimed for before conceiving.
Theres no single number, it's about BMI for your height. Roughly a normal BMI is between 18.5 and 25. If ur much below or above, doc may suggest adjusting before trying.
When I went for my pre-pregnancy checkup the doctor weighed me and checked BMI, simple thing. She just said keep it in healthy range, eat well, walk. No need for any costly diet plans.
It really depends on your height, they go by BMI. My doctor checked mine before and said being in a normal range matters more than a number. Best to get ur gynac to tell ur ideal weight.
For me with pcos even losing a few kilos before trying helped a lot. But honestly dont obsess over the scale, focus on being healthy. Ur doctor can guide a realistic target.
Don't stress too much about exact weight yaar. As long as ur eating properly and active, ur body knows. Just one checkup with gynac will clear all this.
