I checked my pulse at home and it felt faster than usual, made me a little nervous. I know heart works harder in pregnancy but not sure what counts as too high. I will mention it to my gynac at next visit but wanted to hear from others too.
Some increase is completely normal, ur body is working for two now. But anything that feels alarming with dizziness or palpitations needs a doctor look. Dont self diagnose from google, get the actual numbers checked.
I felt my heart racing a lot and honestly half of it was my anxiety. It is scary feeling that. Slightly raised is normal in pregnancy, but pls do tell ur doctor so they can reassure u properly.
My pulse used to feel fast and it turned out to be linked to my thyroid, so my gynac kept monitoring it. If urs feels racing often, just mention it at ur checkup so they can check thyroid and other things.
Heart rate naturally goes up in pregnancy because ur blood volume increases, so a bit faster than usual is normal. But if it's consistently very high or comes with breathlessness or chest discomfort, get it checked, dont ignore.
