My gynac asked me to come for a viability scan in two weeks and i nodded but didnt fully understand what it is. Im around 7 weeks now and slightly nervous. Can someone explain what they check in this scan?
I was so nervous before mine, kept imagining the worst. But it just checks the heartbeat and location, totally routine. Mine was perfect. Dont let the scary name worry you too much.
After our IVF this scan was such an emotional milestone, seeing that little flicker of heartbeat. It basically confirms the pregnancy is viable and on track. Your doctor schedules it, try to go in calm, sending love.
My doctor explained its an early scan, around 6-9 weeks, to check the baby's heartbeat and that the pregnancy is in the right place. It confirms things are progressing. Mine showed the heartbeat and I felt so relieved.
