What is ac in pregnancy?

Got my scan report today and saw AC written with some measurement, the doctor was in a hurry so i couldnt ask properly. Now im sitting at home wondering what it means. Anyone knows?

Yes its abdominal circumference on the ultrasound. I used to look up all those abbreviations after my scans haha. Your doc reads them together to check baby is growing well.

Oh I was confused by all these short forms in my report too. So AC just means a measurement of the tummy? Thanks, was getting worried for no reason.

AC in the scan report stands for abdominal circumference, its one of the baby measurements. My doc used it along with head and femur length to estimate baby weight and growth. Nothing to worry, its just a routine measurement.
