My scan report has AC written with some mm number and percentile. Doctor said report is okay, but I forgot to ask what AC means. Can someone explain what this measurement is?
It's the abdominal circumference of the baby measured during ultrasound. It's just one of several readings used to assess growth. If a number looks off in your report, dont google and panic, ask your radiologist or gynac to explain what it means for you.
AC stands for abdominal circumference, my doctor explained it's one of the measurements they take in the growth scan. It helps them estimate the baby's size and weight along with the head and femur measurements. She said it tracks if baby is growing well.
That's the baby's tummy measurement on the scan, abdominal circumference. They use it to judge growth and estimated weight. Both my scans had it, totally routine, the doctor reads it together with the other numbers.
Oh I saw this on my scan report too and got worried what it meant. It's abdominal circumference apparently, about how baby's growing. I asked my doctor and she said mine was fine, did yours explain it too?
