Gynac wrote AFP in my test list and I have no idea what it actually checks. Im 16 weeks now and just curious why this one is needed. Can someone explain in simple words?
Mere time pe test likha toh my MIL got so worried why so many tests. But actually it's just a normal blood test to check baby's growth. Ghar wale thoda tension le lete hain, but routine hi hai.
Beta, it is just a blood test that doctors do in the fourth or fifth month. Don't worry, just eat fresh fruits, keep your mind peaceful, and let the doctors do their checks.
It stands for alpha-fetoprotein, which is just a routine blood test done between 15 to 20 weeks. It's a screening test to check baby's development, so nothing to stress about unless your doctor says so.
Actually, they did this blood test for me in my second trimester around 16 weeks. I was so scared but my reports came normal. It's just a routine screening test they do.
I have my AFP test next week and I'm honestly super nervous. Is it just a simple blood test or is there anything special we need to do before it? Pls share if u know.
