My friend was talking about her delivery and mentioned she had an epidural. I'm due soon and want to know more about it. What exactly is an epidural injection for pregnancy and how does it work during labor?
My mother was a bit scared when I asked about it, but doctor explained it so well. It helped me have a very peaceful delivery without screaming in pain.
Basically, it's a pain relief injection given in your lower back during labor. It numbs the lower body so you don't feel the intense contractions, quite safe and standard nowadays.
After a long journey to conceive, I wanted a very calm delivery experience. Epidural really helped me stay relaxed and enjoy the moment my baby was born.
It's actually a lifesaver yaar! It doesn't harm the baby at all and makes normal delivery so much more bearable. Highly recommend discussing it with your gynac beforehand.
