Took a test in the morning and saw a very faint line but only after some time, now im not sure if its real or this evap line thing people mention. So confused and my heart is racing. Can someone explain what it actually means?
An evap line shows up when the urine on the test dries out, so a faint colourless or greyish line appears, but its not a real positive. My gynac told me to always read the result within the time on the box, like 5 min, and ignore anything that shows up later.
Oh these drove me crazy, I would stare at faint lines for hours. Honestly best not to over read an old test. If you got a faint line after the time limit, just retest in the morning or get a blood test for clarity.
Its basically a fake faint line that appears after the test sits too long. No colour, just a faint streak. Always read in the time window written on the kit. If unsure, test again with morning urine or do a blood test.
Happened to me once, I left the test on the sink and came back to a faint line and panicked. Turned out it was an evap line, no real pink colour. Reading within the given minutes avoids this confusion completely.
