Someone mentioned ovum pregnancy while talking about early scans and I didn't understand. I am newly pregnant and these terms make me anxious. Can anyone explain what it means in simple words?
If your scan mentioned this, please sit with your doctor and ask everything. A blighted ovum means the pregnancy sac is there but baby didnt grow. Its hard to hear but its very common and not because of something you did.
I went through something like this and it broke me for a while. Sending you a hug. Please lean on your doctor for the medical part and dont blame yourself, these things just happen sometimes.
Beta if a report said this word, the best thing is to ask your gynac face to face. I dont want to guess and worry you. They will tell you exactly what it means for you.
I think you mean blighted ovum, na? Its when the sac forms but the embryo doesnt develop. My friend had this and her doctor explained it kindly, its sadly a type of early miscarriage and not anyone's fault. The gynac is the right person to explain your specific scan.
