My doctor wrote ANC on my file and i nodded like i understood but actually i didnt haha. Can someone tell me what it means and what all is checked in it?
ANC means antenatal checkups, basically your routine pregnancy visits. Each ANC visit they check BP, weight, baby's growth and do blood/urine tests as needed. Don't skip them, that's how problems get caught early.
ANC is antenatal care, the routine monitoring through your pregnancy with various tests at each stage. The exact tests depend on you, so your gynac will tell which ones and when. Following their schedule is the best approach.
It's the antenatal care visits you do regularly through pregnancy. I used to block calendar dates for each ANC because they're scheduled at set weeks. They check your and baby's health each time, so plan your leaves around them.
ANC stands for antenatal care, it's not one test but the whole set of regular checkups and tests through pregnancy. My doctor included blood tests, urine, BP, weight, sugar, scans etc at each visit. The idea is to monitor you and baby throughout.
