My gynac wrote anomaly scan on the next appointment slip and i just nodded but had no idea what it is. Is it different from the normal sonography? thoda nervous about why its needed.
Its the detailed scan around 18 to 20 weeks where they check the baby's organs, spine, heart and growth. My doctor called it the level 2 scan. It was the most thorough one and honestly really reassuring to see everything looked good.
Anomaly scan is the mid pregnancy detailed ultrasound checking organs and structure. Its routine and important, dont read it as scary. Your gynac will explain each finding to u.
