My doctor has recommended an 'anti scan' for my pregnancy. I'm not familiar with this term. Can anyone explain what an 'anti scan' is and why it's done during pregnancy?
I had my NT scan (or anti scan, haha) last month and then immediately treated myself to some hot samosas! It's basically a simple early scan to check if everything is going fine with the baby's neck measurements. Just go for it, it's very quick!
Oh, it is actually called the NT scan, but some people say anti scan by mistake. It is just a routine ultrasound done around the 12th week to check the baby's neck fluid and overall early growth. Nothing to worry about at all.
Honestly, it is one of the most important early scans, called the NT scan. It was so beautiful to see my baby's tiny shape for the first time during this test. Go with a happy mind, everything will be perfect.
My sister-in-law also got confused by this name, but our doctor explained it is the NT scan. They do this between 11 to 13 weeks to make sure the baby is developing healthy and without any genetic issues. Don't stress, it is a very common test.
