What is basal body temperature in early pregnancy?
Been tracking my temp every morning while we are trying and i keep seeing this BBT thing on apps. Not really getting what counts as high or what it means if pregnant. Can someone explain in simple words?
BBT is your body temp first thing in morning before you even move. After ovulation it goes up slightly and if you conceive it stays high instead of dropping. I tracked mine on an app, it was kind of fun to see.
I was charting this while trying! Basically a sustained high temp for more than 2 weeks can be an early clue. But its not a confirm, you still need a test. Anyone got a thermometer they recommend?
Its the resting temperature you take before getting out of bed. Stays raised when pregnant. Honestly its useful for timing trying-to-conceive but dont rely on it alone, a kit or blood test is the real answer.
Basal body temp is measured right after waking, same time daily. A high reading that doesnt drop can hint at pregnancy, but lots of things affect it like sleep or fever. For a clear answer just confirm with test and your gynac.
