my doctor wrote BPS in my file and said we will do it later in the pregnancy. i forgot to ask her what it actually means and now its bugging me. anyone knows what this test is?
I think you mean BPP, the biophysical profile, my doctor did it in late pregnancy. It checks the baby's movement, breathing, tone, fluid and heart on a scan to see baby is doing well. Your gynac orders it if they want a closer look, nothing to fear.
It's usually the biophysical profile test, a scan plus sometimes the heart monitoring. They did it for me when they wanted to confirm baby was comfortable inside. Ask your doctor exactly why they ordered yours.
