At my last scan the doctor mentioned baby is in breech position and now im reading about it and getting a bit worried. Im 30 weeks. Can someone explain what it really means and does it change later? pls share if u had this.
My baby was breech and didnt turn, so I had a planned C-section. It went smoothly and recovery was okay with rest. So even if it stays breech, the doctors handle it safely, dont let it scare you too much.
Dont worry beta, breech just means baby hasnt turned head down yet. Plenty of time for them to flip before the due date. Your doctor keeps an eye on it in scans and will guide you on what's best, you're in good hands.
Simply, baby is head up instead of head down. Common earlier in pregnancy, most flip by the last month. If it stays breech near delivery the doctor decides the safest way to deliver. Nothing you did wrong, it just happens.
My cousin's baby was breech and the elders kept suggesting positions to make baby turn, but she just trusted her doctor who watched it on the scans. Baby turned on its own by the 8th month. Let the doctor guide you, no need to fret.
Breech means the baby is positioned bottom or feet down instead of head down near the due date. My doctor explained many babies are breech earlier on and turn on their own by around 36 weeks, so its often nothing to panic about early. They monitor it on scans.
