Saw this written as EDD on my report card and i have no idea what it means. My gynac said something fast and i forgot to ask properly. Can someone explain in simple words?
It stands for Corrected Estimated Date of Delivery [2.2.1]. Standard EDD is based on your last period, but if your cycles are irregular, the doctor uses the 12-week scan to give a corrected date (C-EDD). It's much more reliable, so just go by that.
Didi, c edd ka matlab hota hai corrected expected delivery date. Jab humara periods irregular hota hai na, toh doctor ultrasound dekh ke delivery ki sahi date batate hain. Bilkul mat ghabrao, yeh bas delivery ki date hai.
C-EDD is just corrected EDD, which means your adjusted due date based on scans. Honestly, as long as my C-EDD says I can have my hot gulab jamuns and spicy chaat for another few weeks before the baby arrives, I am totally happy! It's just a more accurate date given by the doctor.
Oh dear, I totally understand how confusing these medical terms can feel when you just want to know when you'll hold your sweet baby. C-EDD is simply your 'Corrected Estimated Due Date'. Sometimes our cycle dates don't match the baby's actual size, so doctors adjust the date slightly to keep both of you safe and snug.
Please don't worry, C-EDD is just the corrected due date based on early scans which are very accurate. Having gone through a loss before, I know how every little change in dates or terms can make you panic. Just stay calm, take deep breaths, and follow whatever your doctor has updated on your file.
C-EDD is the corrected due date, mostly changed after an ultrasound. I remember tracking mine very carefully because of my gestational diabetes, as they don't let you go past your due date. If they corrected yours, make sure you keep a close eye on your diet and sugar levels too!
Oh, actually I saw this on my report yesterday too and was so confused! So C-EDD is basically the new date they calculated after the scan, right? Mine shifted by 5 days, did yours change too?
