Im 7 months pregnant and my doc mentioned i might need a c section because of baby position. I keep hearing the term but dont fully understand what the procedure actually involves. Can someone who had one explain?
Its a surgical delivery, doctors do it when normal delivery is risky for mom or baby. My gynac explained it can be planned or sometimes emergency. Its very common and safe these days, nothing to be scared of.
I had normal delivery but many of my close friends had c section and their babies are perfectly fine. Both are just ways to bring baby safely. Whatever the doctor decides is the right call for your situation.
C section is when baby is delivered through a cut in the tummy instead of normal delivery. I had one because baby was not in position. Recovery took me a few weeks but it was okay, just go slow and dont lift heavy things initially.
I totally understand wanting to know all about it. However baby arrives, it is your strength that brings them here. Dont let anyone make u feel less for having a c section, its just as brave.
