Heard this term in a forum and got a little scared honestly. Someone said its like a very early miscarriage but i dont fully understand what it means. Can someone explain in simple words?
I totally understand how confusing and painful this is. A chemical pregnancy is real and your feelings about it are valid. Sending you a big hug, you are not alone in this.
It is a very early loss, usually right after a positive test before anything shows on scan. I went through one and it broke my heart even though it was so early. Please be gentle with yourself if this is your situation, and lean on your doctor.
I read up a lot on this on my pregnancy app. Basically the test catches the pregnancy super early but it doesnt continue. They say many happen without women even knowing. If it happened to you, do talk to your doctor for reassurance.
My gynac explained it as the egg fertilising but not implanting properly, so hcg rises a bit then drops. That is why you can get a faint positive and then your period comes. She said it is common and usually not because of anything you did wrong.
