My gynac wrote colour doppler on my next scan slip and I forgot to ask her what exactly it checks. Now im a little anxious wondering why she added it, im at 32 weeks. Has anyone had this done, what is it for?
I had a doppler done because my baby was measuring small, and it helped them monitor blood flow closely. It is nothing to fear, it just gives the doctor more info. If urs advised it, trust the reason and ask them to explain.
My doctor mentioned this might be done later and I got nervous wondering why. Glad to read its just a detailed scan. Did anyone else have it as routine? Trying not to worry.
My gynac explained it is a special ultrasound that checks blood flow, like the babys cord and through the placenta. It helps see if baby is getting enough nourishment. It was painless, just like a normal scan for me.
