My gynac mentioned she might put me on complete bed rest if my next scan isnt good and now im a little scared. Does it literally mean I cant get up at all, like even for bathroom or food? Pls explain what it actually involves.
My gynac explained complete bed rest is stricter than just resting, very limited movement. It is advised in cases like bleeding, low placenta or high bp. Ask your doc clearly what you can and cant do, it isnt the same for everyone.
I totally understand, bed rest can feel lonely and boring honestly. I kept books and called family to pass time. Hang in there, its only to keep u and baby safe.
It usually means staying in bed and avoiding any strain, getting up only for washroom and meals. I was put on it due to spotting and it actually helped. But what exactly is allowed differs per case, so follow your doctors exact words.
When i was on rest i stayed at my moms place so someone was always around. It made the whole thing easier emotionally. Take help from family, dont try to do everything alone.
