My doctor asked me about my conception date, and I'm a bit confused. Can someone explain what exactly the conception date means in pregnancy and how it's determined?
Actually, when I asked my coordinator at Cloudnine, they told me not to calculate it ourselves. The hospital scan gives the most accurate age, so just ask your gynac during the first ultrasound.
Conception date is basically the day u actually got pregnant, usually around ovulation. Don't confuse it with LMP, which docs use. It's mostly just 2 weeks after your last period started, simple as that.
For us IVF moms, we know the exact transfer date, but for natural conception it can be a bit of a range. Take it easy and try not to stress over the exact day, your little one will come when they are ready.
Honestly, don't sweat too much about the exact date! Mine was also a guessing game, but everything went beautifully during my normal delivery. Just focus on eating well and let the baby grow.
