Saw the term conceptual age on my report and it was different from the weeks my doc told me. Got a bit confused honestly. Can someone explain what this actually means?
Honestly these two age terms confused me so much and i overthought it. My doctor said just follow the weeks she gives, dont mix the numbers. That calmed me down, ask urs to keep it simple too.
Simply put, its the age of the baby from when it was actually conceived. Doctors mostly count from your last period though, which is a couple weeks more. Let ur gynac tell u the number that matters for ur dates.
My doctor explained conceptional age is counted from the actual date of conception, while gestational age is counted from your last period. So conceptional age is about 2 weeks less than gestational. The reports usually use gestational age, so dont get confused by the two.
