Heard this term from a relative and it sounded scary honestly. I dont really know what it means and didnt want to ask her directly. Can someone tell me what d and c actually is?
My doctor told me D and C means dilation and curettage, basically clearing the uterine lining or remaining tissue. It is common and done safely. Always ask ur doctor the exact reason in ur case.
I went through this and I know it can sound scary. It is done gently under care and recovery for me was okay in a few days. Take rest after and be kind to urself, emotionally too.
D and C is a small procedure to clean the uterus, usually after a miscarriage or incomplete one. I had to go through it and the doctor explained everything before. Pls talk to ur gynac so u understand why it is being advised for u.
