I have been feeling very low and crying without proper reason in this pregnancy. Family keeps saying mood swings, but it feels heavier than that some days. Is there a proper name for this, and should I tell my gynac?
The medical word is antenatal depression. After such a long journey i felt guilty for feeling low, but my counsellor said it's more common than people admit. Talking to a professional really lightens it, pls reach out.
It's called antenatal or prenatal depression, when it happens during pregnancy. And honestly if you're feeling low pls talk to ur doctor, it's real and treatable, i went through it and reaching out helped me so much.
It's known as antenatal depression beta. If this is u, pls dont brush it off, speak to ur doctor and someone close. You deserve support, you're not overreacting.
They call it prenatal depression when it's during pregnancy. I had it more after baby came, the postpartum one. Whatever the name, ur feelings are valid and getting help is the brave thing, not weak.
During pregnancy its antenatal depression, and after delivery it's postpartum. My gynac told me both are common and nothing to be ashamed of, they can guide u or refer to someone. Please dont carry it alone.
I totally understand how heavy this can feel. It's called prenatal or antenatal depression. Please be gentle with urself and let ur doctor know how you're feeling, you matter just as much as the baby.
