What is difference between conceive date and last mensturation date?
The doctor counts my weeks from my last period date but i actually conceived later, so im totally confused matlab which one is the real start. Can someone explain the difference simply? My brain isnt getting it.
I was also a bit confused about this. LMP is the date when your last cycle started, but conception usually happens around two weeks later during ovulation.
During registration at the hospital, they will explicitly ask for your LMP. It is the standard medical protocol to date the pregnancy, so you can ask the staff to explain if you have doubts.
My doctor recently explained this during my first scan. LMP is the standard baseline they use for all reports, even though actual conception happens later.
Yaar, actually LMP is the first day of your last period, and conceive date is when the baby was actually formed. Gynacs always calculate the due date from LMP because it's easier to track.
I used to get so confused about this! Don't worry, doctors always count your pregnancy weeks from the LMP because the exact conceive date is hard to pinpoint.
Simply put, LMP is the first day of your last period. Conception date is when fertilization actually happened. For all medical records, only LMP matters.
