My gynac wrote this in my list of tests for next visit and honestly I had no idea what it is. Im around 11 weeks now. Can someone explain what they actually check in this, thoda samajh nahi aaya.
It is just a normal blood test done along with an NT scan around the 11th to 13th week. It checks for any chromosomal issues in the baby. Don't stress too much about the cost, local labs also do it nicely, just make sure to do it on time.
Actually, it's a basic blood test they do in the first trimester to check baby's health. Since I had thyroid issues, I was super regular with all my tests. Make sure you discuss the reports properly with your gynac during your next visit.
I was so nervous during this test because of my past miscarriage, but it's very important. It tells us about the health of the baby early on. Please get it done from a good lab and show the reports to your doctor immediately.
Listen, don't get scared by the big name, it's just a routine screening test. They take blood and do an ultrasound to see if everything is fine with the baby. Just get it done when your doctor tells u, simple as that.
Honestly, it's just a first trimester blood test and scan to check baby's development. I remember reward-eating a huge plate of chole bhature right after giving my blood sample for this! Just get it done, it's totally normal.
