Doc mentioned something called ECV in my last visit since baby is breech and i didnt fully get what it means. Im 35 weeks and a bit nervous tbh. Can someone explain what it actually is?
Since I had PCOS, my pregnancy was already high-risk so we didn't want to try any extra procedures like ECV. It's safe for many, but always discuss pros and cons with your own doctor.
ECV is External Cephalic Version, where the doctor tries to manually turn a breech baby from outside the tummy. It is done under ultrasound guidance around 36-37 weeks.
It is basically a way to turn the baby head-down to try for a normal delivery. Don't worry too much, doctors only do it if conditions are completely safe.
