Got my scan report today and there's this EFW thing written with some grams next to it. My gynac just said baby is fine but didnt explain. Can someone tell me what it actually means na?
EFW is Estimated Fetal Weight. During my pregnancy, my baby's EFW was on the higher side due to my gestational diabetes, so doc told me to strictly cut down on carbs and sugar. It’s just to keep an eye on baby's growth trend, so stay positive and eat healthy.
I am not pregnant yet, but I keep reading about these terms because we are trying to conceive. I think it means estimated fetal weight, basically a rough guess of your baby's weight. Hope everything goes smoothly for you, dear!
Hey! It simply stands for Estimated Fetal Weight, basically the baby's weight guess on the machine. Don't stress too much about the exact grams, it can easily vary by 10 to 15% either way. Just enjoy this phase, you are doing great!
Haha, ultrasound reports look like Greek and Latin, na? EFW is just estimated fetal weight, basically telling us if baby is a chota rasgulla or a bigger one! It's never 100% accurate anyway, so don't lose sleep over those numbers.
Yes, it means Estimated Fetal Weight, basically the standard weight estimation. Since I had PCOS, I used to overanalyze every scan report, but doctors say these are just rough computer calculations, not 100% exact. Just focus on taking your routine meds as suggested by your gynac.
It stands for Estimated Fetal Weight. I know how scary scan reports can feel when you've had a tough journey before, as every little detail makes us anxious. Please trust your gynac and let them check if the growth is on track, wishing you a very safe pregnancy.
Actually, EFW is Estimated Fetal Weight, which the scan machine calculates using baby's head circumference and femur length. I used to track this every week on my pregnancy app to see what fruit size my baby was! It's a super cool way to feel connected to baby's growth.
