My doc mentioned the baby is not engaged yet in my last visit and i just nodded but didnt really get what it means. Im 36 weeks now. Can someone explain in simple words?
Engagement means the baby's head moves down into the pelvis, getting ready for delivery. My doctor said it often happens in the last weeks for first timers. She tracked it at each visit near the end.
For me the baby engaged a couple weeks before delivery and I felt the bump drop lower. Breathing got easier but I peed every five minutes haha. It was a nice sign that things were progressing.
Oh so thats what my doc meant by head is down. My bump literally looks lower now and I waddle everywhere. Tired but at least it means we are getting close na.
