What is epithelial cells in urine during pregnancy?
Got my routine urine test report and it shows epithelial cells, im a bit worried what this means. Will ask my doc at next visit but couldnt wait. Is it something normal in pregnancy?
A few epithelial cells in urine is quite common and often nothing to worry about. Sometimes it just means the sample picked up surface cells. Your doctor reads the full report together, so show it to her and she will tell if anything needs attention.
When my report showed this my gynac said a small number is usually normal and routine. She looks at it along with other values like pus cells. Dont read one line alone, let your doctor interpret the whole report.
