Everyone says tiredness is normal, but I feel like my whole body has no battery only. I can sleep after breakfast also and still feel heavy. Is this what fatigue means in pregnancy?
Its very normal, your body is doing a big job. Dont overdo housework or anything, listen to it and rest. It does get better soon, take it easy on yourself.
My doctor explained that your body is working hard to grow the baby and hormone progesterone makes you sleepy, so deep tiredness in first trimester is expected. She also checked my hemoglobin since low iron can make it worse.
Its that bone deep exhaustion many feel early on. Rest when you can, dont fight it. Eat iron rich food, stay hydrated. It usually improves in the second trimester when energy comes back a bit.
Honestly its a tiredness like nothing before. I felt drained by afternoon even after sleeping well. Like my body just wanted to lie down all the time. I felt guilty for being lazy but its actually so normal.
The first trimester tiredness hit me hard at work. I started taking short breaks, a 10 min sit down, and sleeping earlier at night. Be realistic, you cant push like before, give yourself rest.
