Got my scan report today and it mentioned femur length but i didnt understand what it tells about the baby. Im 20 weeks. Can someone explain in simple words what this measurement is for?
Its basically the length of the thigh bone, measured in scans to track growth. Nothing to worry, its standard in every ultrasound. The doctor reads it along with other measurements.
Femur length is the measurement of the baby's thigh bone in the scan. My doctor said its one of the parameters used to estimate the baby's growth and age. Its just a routine part of the ultrasound.
