Saw this term written in my scan report and had no clue what it meant. Doc didnt explain much that day. Can someone tell me in simple words what fetal lie is?
Its basically how the baby is lying inside, lengthwise or sideways. My doctor mentioned it in the later scans. Dont worry about it early on, babies move and settle as you progress.
My gynac explained fetal lie is just the position of the baby's spine relative to yours, like longitudinal, transverse or oblique. Longitudinal is the usual one for delivery. They check it more in the later weeks when position matters for birth.
