Got my scan report yesterday and it says FHR with some number next to it. Im 12 weeks now and just curious what exactly this means, is it the baby heartbeat? Someone pls explain in simple words.
Oh I was confused by this term too! So FHR is heartbeat rate na? My report showed 150 and I kept googling if thats ok, did anyone else also panic over the number for no reason?
My gynac explained it to me, FHR = fetal heart rate. She said anything around 120 to 160 bpm is the normal range for baby. Dont compare with adult heartbeat, baby's is always faster.
It is the baby's heart rate, my amma was so happy when she heard the number means heart is beating well. Still let your doctor read the full report, they know what's normal for your week.
FHR is just fetal heart rate yaar, means how fast baby's heart is beating in the scan. They write it in beats per minute. Both my reports had it, totally normal thing.
I remember seeing FHR on my first scan report and I felt so emotional, that little number was my baby's heartbeat. The doctor just smiled and said all good.
