Got my scan report today and there's FL written with some measurement next to it. Doc explained quickly but i forgot half of it. Can someone tell me what fl means in the usg report?
FL is femur length yaar, basically baby's leg bone measurement on the scan. It's one of the things they use to check growth. Dont decode the report urself too much, ur gynac will tell u if everything is fine.
FL means femur length, that's the long thigh bone of the baby. My doctor explained they measure it along with HC and AC to estimate baby's growth and age. If FL is in normal range for ur weeks then growth is on track.
FL = femur length. On most pregnancy apps if u enter ur scan values like FL, BPD, HC, AC it estimates the weight too. But trust ur doctor's reading over the app, they see the full picture.
Oh I had the same confusion looking at my report. The sonographer told me FL = femur length, used to estimate baby's size and due date. Did urs come normal? Mine was and I felt so relieved.
