My scan report keeps mentioning GA with some number of weeks and i had no idea what it meant. Felt a bit silly asking the doc. Can someone explain in simple words what this is?
GA means gestational age, basically how far along you are. Its counted from the first day of your last period, not from conception. So when your doctor says 8 weeks GA, thats whats meant. They use it to track baby growth.
GA is gestational age, all the apps show it too. Mine displayed like 12w3d which means 12 weeks 3 days. Its just how they measure your progress and due date. Handy to know when reading scan reports.
