My early scan report says gestational sac seen and I am relieved but still confused. Doctor said we may need another scan to see more clearly, so thoda tension ho rahi. What exactly does this sac mean?
Basically the fluid filled structure that surrounds the embryo early on. Doctors measure it to estimate how far along you are. Best to let your gynac read the scan properly, sizes vary person to person.
My doc explained it as the first thing they can see on early scan, basically the little fluid sac where the baby grows. In my 6 week scan only the sac was visible, heartbeat came later. So dont panic if you only see the sac first.
Beta its just the protective sac around your baby, the very first proof of pregnancy on scan. Nothing to worry about, your gynac will track its growth.
Its the round black circle you see on the ultrasound, the baby develops inside it. Both my pregnancies the sac showed up before anything else. Totally normal early sign.
